Hello everyone!
   
As you have probably noticed I dropped off the face of the planet for a very long time.
    I'm very, very sorry if my inactivity has upset any of you, and I'm sorry for not updating you guys sooner.
A LOT has happened this year, so I figured I'd fill you guys in on it finally. I hope you understand.

  The vast majority of 2018 for me has been consumed by my struggles with mental illness. I spent a solid 3 months hospitalized just to become stable, and have been working to maintain my health since then. The entire first half of 2018 was a total blur, and I've only really been relatively healthy and in a normal functional state for a little over three months. The primary reason I've been gone for so long is I have decided to relax, slow down, and dedicate a large amount of much needed time to helping myself recover.
    
    I very typically am (and always will be) a perfectionist. I absolutely love creating commissions and digital art for my audience to enjoy. There's no better feeling than seeing your comments and notes and knowing that I've brightened someone's day. I'd absolutely LOVE to return to that! However, my dedication to commissions and posting online became toxic fairly quickly, and I ended up putting an insane amount of pressure on myself to make things perfect, maintain a strict upload schedule, which only compounded how sick I was getting. Simply put, I really needed a break from posting my work on the internet in order to refocus and return to a healthy attitude when it comes to work and drawing as a whole.

 Luckily, I feel much better now than just a few months ago. I hope to return to posting soon eventually. But other factors (which basically boil down to "Life") complicate my ability to put out content for you guys. College is soon. There is so much stress trying to figure out my plans for art school. Classes take up several hours. Essays. Homework. Going to therapy. It really sucks, but currently it's absolutely impossible for me to post ~once a week like I used to. It's frustrating, but it's true.

I used to (and still) feel so guilty for not being able to pump out content at a constant rate like some sort of machine, but I've certainly learned that with all the chaos in my life right now it just isn't realistic.

Ever since I got home, I've been back to drawing and painting, and have barely touched digital art but have dabbled when I actually have time. I'm certainly back to a semi-regular schedule for myself, so practice or motivation is not the issue. Rather, I'm currently trying to build up the courage to begin posting my work online again. As simple and easy as it was before, I think that with college being so soon and my future and potential career so much closer, it's made me much more dedicated to creating a portfolio for myself in real life, thus leaving less time for my online work. It also is just a little daunting to do after such a long time. But I'm certainly working.

I unfortunately can't promise anything at this point, and I'm sincerely sorry for that. I can't promise when I'll be back to posting. How often I'll post. How long it will take. Which is why I want to highlight that if I do post something, there's no guarantee at this point it will become a pattern. I want to take a much more casual and healthy approach to posting my work online like I used to when I first started. Just doing it for fun, not worrying about an upload schedule or what other people think.

What I can promise you is that when I am ready to come back, I most certainly will tell you.

Again, I'm very sorry for the radio silence, especially for so long. But I will do what's necessary to take care of myself, as we all should. The fact of the matter is that our personal lives come first and foremost.
